Kathleen Crawford
Psychologist/Coach & Emotional Freedom Practitioner
B.App.Sci. B.A., M.A., Grad. Dip. In Counselling Psychology
Member Australian Psychological Society, Member International Society of Hypnosis.

I am an experienced psychologist (12 years in 2005), with an extensive background in Community Health Nursing. I am also a mother with three grown children who are friends with me and with each other.

Therapies include Cognitive Behaviour and Solutions Focused and other therapies, Clinical Hypnosis, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, and Emotional Freedom Technique, all of which complement each other.

I work intuitively in choosing from a range of options which will be the most useful for you.

I believe I am easy to talk to and one of the most common conditions I treat is anxiety (with or without panic), and its associated states (e.g., social phobia, other phobias, performance anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). Clients also come with grief and loss, trauma, adaptation to life circumstances, depression, relationship issues, health, for example, weight maintenance, insomnia, stress and pain management, or quit smoking. Because of my back ground in Community Health Nursing I am comfortable with and understand medical conditions.

Personal development is one of my passions, and I really enjoy working with clients on assertion, confidence and self-esteem issues.

Positive psychology, effectively used, can be a liberating experience. Knowing that you don’t have to continue thinking negatively, even if you have in the past, or are at present, can turn your life around. Learning new skills and strategies then enables you to move on to a new and exciting phase of life. But you do have to be committed, and do some work. Unfortunately I do not have a magic wand!
