From time to time Kathleen and her colleague Dr. Robert Hanner, a medical practitioner and integrative medicine specialist, run Emotional Freedom Introductory Workshops.

These are usually run on a Saturday in an easily accessed venue.

Emotional Freedom Technique is simple to learn, and can be used for a wide variety of problems.

Emotional Freedom Techniques consists of tapping on the Meridian system rather like Acupuncture and Acupressure to assist in the removal of any “blocks” to change. It is a safe, gentle method which has provided excellent and rapid results.

A Weight loss program with a difference!

Think Straight! Lose Weight!  is a comprehensive and holistic weight control program  which is different from any other, and acknowledges that weight control is a complex and multifaceted experience, and does not just depend on eating  a combination of particular foods and bumping up the exercise, although these factors are important.

Think Straight! - Lose Weight! offers you a program which includes

  • heaps of personal development exercises - like assertion and confidence building
  • thinking skills - to beat negativity and pessimism
  • control over cravings with Emotional freedom Technique 
  • instruction on using Emotional freedom Technique to remove blocks to change
  • tips on the best exercises to tone the body and speed up weight loss
  • how to shop to maintain an appropriate weight   
  • your relationship to food and your mood  - learn about emotional overeating 
  • Information about low Glycaemic Foods
  • how to give diets away for ever and eat when hungry
  • understand how stress impacts on your eating and moods
  • how to control risk factors for diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure
  • how to get a new life that doesn't revolve around food and eating

There are three workshops, one of a whole day, and two half days workshops. 

Each of these will be a week apart. It is necessary to attend all three to get the basics for the remainder of the program.  Intending participants need to consult their diaries to ensure that they can attend all of these three major workshops.

We know that behaviour change takes time – hence the three main sessions. During the time in between sessions we hope that participants will be practicing their new-found skills and using their knowledge of good nutrition and other strategies to make permanent and positive changes to their eating behavior.

The next phase comprises  "Keep in Touch" (KIT) maintenance groups of 2 hours in duration, held monthly for two months.  In between the KIT groups there will be an email with homework, so that  participants will be making changes over a total of two months with 5 sessions, and two email back-up homework sessions.

Participants will be provided with the EFT Manual and a Think Straight! Lose Weight!  Manual.
